Merchantile Plumbing can advise you on the selection of a suitable Rainwater tank and if a pump is required.
Tank size is often dictated by the available space but generally a tank should hold at least 5000 litres if you wish to use the water in the toilet and laundry or for car washing and garden sprinkling.
Selecting the correct pump to connect to your Rainwater tank system depends on how much water you require and what you are going to use the water for. Our recommendations are made based on our knowledge and experience. We strongly recommend that you purchase a stainless steel pump when the water is going to be used in the washing machine, toilets, or for drinking.
We can also install the RainBank™ system which automatically uses rainwater first and only uses mains water as a back up should the tank become empty.
